Description: Mixed Media Print of a California Condor

This dramatic mixed media portrait portrays a California Condor painted by Johnny Vaughn over a photograph by J Clive Jordan of a Boise Sunset.  The striking image portrays the intensity and strong will of this amazing and complex creature.   

Johnny Vaughn captures the condor with impressive realism and emotional intensity, emphasizing the species’ prehistoric, almost otherworldly appearance. He highlights the Condors commanding presence against the expansive, glowing landscape.

California Condors are North America’s largest flying land birds, famous for their massive 9.5-foot wingspans and remarkable recovery from near-extinction.  The artists created this piece in recognition of the breeding program at the Peregrine Fund’s World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise that helped raise the species from the brink of extinction.  

Vaughn’s portrayal honors their rugged beauty and wild spirit.

International shipping is not possible at this time. Please contact us if you are interested in having a print ordered and shipped outside of the U.S.
