Details

“Shadow of the Symbol” captures a powerful winter scene.  A Bald Eagle soars above its range bathed in sunlight and capturing the reflection of the snow below. The abundant light casts its image onto the nearby cliffs as an iconic reminder of all that it represents, both to the wilderness it rules over and the country it represents. This piece beautifully reflects the raw power and the serene beauty of a Wyoming winter landscape near Jackson, Wyoming.

Kathy Wipfler is an award winning painter whose works are spread throughout the most prestigious Western art and wildlife museums. Her “plein air” painting style often takes her out into the wilderness with her subject matter. One of the most treasured great American artists of the west, she reveals the western landscapes in all their glory as can be appreciated in the wondrous winter scene, “Shadow of the Symbol”.
