Savor the Spoils
This dramatic rendering of an Osprey enjoying the spoils of his catch was painted by Noel from a photo she took in Puerto Penasco, Mexico. It was a place she treasured and went to often to paint the local fishing boats and ocean scenes including the Pelicans and Ospreys that frequented the area.
Noel never shied away from painting the accuracy of a scene including the tearing apart of a fish, as depicted in this wonderful work of art. She always strived to portray her subjects as they were, down to the smallest detail. This vibrant art is a reflection of her love of the sea and its native residents above the waters.
