Hauck and Condor
This beautiful portrait is of Tim Hauck aka “The Condor Man” and the magnificent condor, brought back from the brink of extinction.
This feat of conservation was achieved through the efforts of The Peregrine Fund and the valiant determined individuals like the scientist depicted in this painting. These individuals never receive the full honors and accreditation due them for literally saving a species. This painting is a tribute to all those behind the scenes. Their efforts are a testimonial to what can be done when humans come together to put resources toward saving a species on the very precipice of annihilation.
